Resident Value for Money Panel

value for moneyThe Resident Value for Money Panel is made up of Swan residents, who meet on a bi-monthly basis to review and even challenge all of Swan’s service areas.

The aim of the panel is to help bring about greater efficiency within Swan and offer better value for money.

The Panel reports to the Resident Consultative Committees (RCCs) in London and Essex and its responsibilities include:

  • Working with Swan to further extend and improve their value for money strategy.
  • Observing Swan’s progress against the strategy.
  • Helping to promote the strategy and the value for money ideals.
  • Examining and challenging all service areas.
  • Challenging policy and operational procedures to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Developing value for money measures that are both meaningful and understandable to residents, and to show what difference the strategy is making.
  • Proposing new or additional priorities where appropriate.
  • Reporting progress to the London and Essex RCCs in line with their meeting cycles.
